“Angels and demons” investigation. They want us to be silent: we have to scream louder

Leftist newspapers went asleep during the “Angels and demons” horror movie. They are sleepy since last Thursday, with hand, eyes and mouth freezed. Those days seem to be so far away, when (less than a week ago), they, more bright-eyed than the famous Teresa, so gleeful, shouted all around, while tightening the news: “Gotcha! Gotcha!”. It should have been very tired because of the accumulating frames.

The uncovered pot of Reggio Emilia’s Attorney, with the execution of an ordinance of custody on politicians, doctors, social workers and freelancers that have been building a creepy but profitable system of “child management” for years, is not worth it of the headlines or a prime time show.

We cannot forget those who (as the secretary of PD (Dem Party), Nicola Zingaretti, and the other mercenary journalists) have even found the strength from the selective mutism that is afflicting them just to label these “attempt of politically instrumentalizing this tragedy” as pathetic.

The noisy horns of “Temptation Island” are more interesting than the silent tears of dozens of innocent children ripped away from their parents’ arms from a social work’s executive of the Unione Comuni Val D’Enza (Cities Union of Enza Valley), homosexual and already linked with some custodial women of children, for the judge writes about that “her personal condition and profound beliefs are leaning her to state, with erinnic perseverance the ‘cause’ of the abuse to be proved at any cost”.

A macabre theatre of overpowering and sadism have been sold as an institutional model to be emulated on the context of abused children, in which the attempt of suddenly letting the curtains fall. A lousy system made of false relationships and distorted drawings in order to expel children from their families and place them in a state of paid commend for even friends and acquaintances (sexy shops owners, psychically disturbed and with suicidal sons), and even electrical pulses on children during the psychotherapy sessions, in order to alter their memory before facing the judicial conversations. Two cases of rape inside the foster families and communities have been confirmed.

The recipients of the precautionary measure, as the Dem Mayor of Bibbiano, Andrea Carletti, are accused, variousways, of procedural fraud, misdirection, abuse of office, child abuse, very serious injuries, fake in public act, private violence, attempted extortion, peculate of use.

What clearly emerged from the wiretapping with which the Reggio Emilia’s Attorney has nailed Daniela Bedogni and Fadia Bassmaji, the homosexual couple involved in the chilling investigation that should have been roused Italy and call the overwhelmed mainstream journalists to action, is also the mental imbalance of one of the two women.

In the ordinance, it is written that Danila Bedogni, in many occasions and, while alone in her car, “started long conversations with imaginary entities”. And, while yelling in complete delirium, the woman alternated blasphemies, eucharistic hymns and loud fights in which she imagined herself screaming at the children. One of the children has been given right to her. According to the social services, she was appropriate. It seems that they have been helped by Federica Anghinolfi, defined as the social services’ “little czar”, previously linked with Bassmaji. It is written in the documents that Fadia and Mrs. Anghinolfi “allegedly have had a sentimental relationship, this fact is acclaimed also by some photos found in social networks”.

Day after day, another disturbing aspect of this story becomes even more clear: behind the “selection” of the foster carers there might be an ideological reason. By the ordinance of the court, we know about another important indication: more than one of the nine, illegaly given children has been given to gay couples.
Again, Federica Anghinolfi still has been the one that chose the appropriate temporary foster couples. And she was still the one, for example, that gave one of the female children to Cinzia Prudente, her ex-partner and co-owner of an apartment where they have lived for four years. During the public meetings he joined, Mrs. Anghinolfi didn’t forget to point out the importance of “go beyond the context of gender identity in the parental relationship”.

And that’s not everything we know. At least 5 professionals inside the Val D’Enza center have avoided the home arrests because they appeared to be traumatized by sexual violence at an early age. According to the judge for preliminary investigations “they’re too disturbed to be arrested”. This observation tells us in which hands dozens of children have come across.

Francesco Morcavallo have been judge at the juvenile court from September 2009 to May 2013 and he’s been launching alerts for years about what he calls “the most obscene italian business”: an easier foster system of dozens of thousands of children in front of a relentless machinery of justice. This journey starts with children ripped of from the families and ends with the internment (judge’s term) inside institutes and communitites ruled by the social services.

Here, in Italy there are 50 thousand of given children, with a cost of about 1.5 bilion euros per year. And there isn’t any foster carers’ log, as in almost every Western countries.

The President of AMI (Italian Marriageist Lawyers’ Association) expressed his words about the amount of profits of this “system”. “I’ve never heard of a bad case like this before. The facts of Reggio Emilia, if verified during judicial processing, confirm those that have always been the suspects of a certain part of the lawyering and the magistracy about instrumentalizing and commoditimony over some children in order to put them inside foster homes”, said Gian Ettore Gassani. “We know that children can profit a lot, there’s an insane business that is around 100 and 200 euros per day”.

Those mechanisms and names are well known by Pablo Trincia, author, with Alessia Rafanelli of the investigation called “Veleno” (Poison), the podcast that reenacted the facts about an alleged pedophile gang (the so-called “Devils of the lower Modena”) that, in the late 90s brought at 16 children being drifted from their families. Some of them commited suicide, other have been expatriated. Too many have suffered.

It’s a terrible story all the way. During the seven episodes published by Repubblica.it, in Autumn 2017, Trincia and Rafanelli reconstructed the facts, highlighting many doubts about the roles of some social workers, psychologists and gynecologists during the investigations. Those same professionals have been arrested in the “Angels and Demons” investigation.

We’re closing our editorial with some fragments of the open letter to the vice-premier Luigi Di Maio by modenese lawyer Francesco Miraglia, that has been denouncing blatant cases of “easy” foster cares for more than 10 years.

We underwrite the lawyer’s questions: “Who will refund these families? Who’s gonna give their children back? But, most important, who’s gonna tell the truth to those kids, some of them still being little kids, others being teens? Who will tell them that they’ve been living with strangers, far from their parents, their grandparents, their school friends for years, because someone wanted to profit over their lives? Who will do it? And how?”.

“We can only imagine – writes Miraglia – how devastating can be for a boy to learn about being victim of a system. Of being drifted far from home for profit, for mere profit”.

The conclusion of Francesco Miraglia is very bitter: “There is a huge number of parents that are crying for her sons ripped off from their loving arms, there is a huge number of children that is crying because they miss their moms’ hugs. And it’s not only because of incompetent social workers, or worse, criminals, but also because of the ultimate measures emanated by the juvenil courts, because, for every relation and request of drifting presented by a social worker, there is, anyway, a judge that pronounced the word ‘foster care'”.

We must not lower the light on this “muffled hell”. We must not lower our voice asking for Justice and Truth. They want us to be silent: we have to scream louder.
